When it comes to doing our bit for the environment - we all know every choice matters. One area we might not consider having an impact is our cat’s dinner. One initiative we have undertaken to help build a more sustainable future is the Dine Hope Grows™ program. This project has helped regrow reefs that have floundered as a result of environmental impacts.

By partnering with local communities, the DINE® brand is helping regenerate reefs with the addition of unique steel-structured ‘Reef Stars’ that allow coral to thrive - which in turn provides a safe habitat for fish to return and thrive themselves.

The project has already expanded to include thirty global reef restoration sites such as Moore Reef, Green Island, Bait Reef, Keppel Islands and Hastings Reef.

Finding truly sustainable cat food requires some research. Start by looking into brands that are transparent about their production practices certified by legitimate sustainability bodies.

MSC bluetick label, given by the Marine Stewardship Council, is only applied to wild fish or seafood from fisheries that have been certified to the MSC Fisheries Standard, which is a set of rigorous sustainable fishing requirements.
